“Making Peace With Your Birth” Workshop
After hearing many stories of women who have experienced difficult births, whether they be vaginal or cesarean births, Julie Keon was motivated to offer some sort of space to honour their births, which were in most cases very unexpected and to one degree or another, traumatic. Many women are left feeling angry, frustrated, sad, resentful and/or confused about their births. If you feel a need to make peace with your birth, this is the workshop for you. This is a safe place for women to share their birth stories, begin healing and celebrate themselves as birthing women. Participants will find common ground and support while sharing their own unique birth stories in an environment that is safe and understanding. It is important that participants are at least 6 months postpartum as many emotions lie dormant before this time and you may not get what you need out of this type of experience if you are still in the earlier postpartum months. This is a women- only workshop and so we ask that childcare arrangements be made. A resource list will be given at the end of the workshop so participants can continue to make peace.
